I must admit... After hearing and reading that Frank Ocean swings both ways, I was a tad skeptical and a little "Eurgh" about it.
Like.... I was listening to and twitter-tumblr-following a dude I thought was just super cool and just raking up ladies details, then
WHAM!
My guy turns around and says
"I'm bisexual"
=\
At first I had an immature view on it, then I grew a little and some thoughts started dropping in my mind.
- He's the first Hip Hop / R&B male I've ever heard of , openly announcing gay-ness. (apart from Tevin Campbell)
- He's a black male in music
- Imagine how many rappers are gay or have tendencies?
- Imagine how many R&B singers are gay?
- Imagine how many people in music are in a closet on a fence about their sexuality?
These questions got answered quickly by my ever-so smart mind...
They don't want to lose their audiences.
Like what it did to the famous Mr Ocean, he's lost some fans and maybe even gotten himself more from the gay community.
I've learnt that the world of music is very immature to situations like these... People are very extreme and even more often than not... hypocritical. Its NAFF.
What's going to happen is that every song that he will release from this point on will be inspected and swabbed for homosexual conno's... *sigh*...and we've got the first! lol
