John Frusciante - Glowe

This track I just came across is an ultimate...

VIBER

Everything about it is just PERRRRRRRRRFECT! Every click, clap, snare, cymbol hit and kick drum smashed is done with such precision and accuracy.

The very fact this track is only 1:30 is just ideal for them times when I'm in a rush out - like this morning when I had 20mins to get out of bed, shower, dress, and leave for my job interview =P.
No dilly dally, utilize every millisecond.

But yeah some brief history behind the genius - John Frusciante.
  • Former lead guitarist of The Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
  • Officially left in 2009. See the statement below:
To put it simply, my musical interests have led me in a different direction. Upon rejoining, and throughout my time in the band, I was very excited about exploring the musical possibilities inherent in a rock band, and doing so with those people in particular. A couple of years ago, I began to feel that same excitement again, but this time it was about making a different kind of music, alone, and being my own engineer.I really love the band and what we did. I understand and value that my work with them means a lot to many people, but I have to follow my interests. For me, art has never been something done out of a sense of duty. It is something I do because it is really fun, exciting, and interesting. Over the last 12 years, I have changed, as a person and artist, to such a degree that to do further work along the lines I did with the band would be to go against my own nature. There was no choice involved in this decision. I simply have to be what I am, and have to do what I must do.
Sending love and gratitude to you all.

As you have read, my guy went to follow his interests and be his own engineer.

He was a guitarist for probably the slickest rock band ever, but above all the money and fame, he remembers he's a musician.

If artists in music could all have this attitude, the world would actually be better place. Music not just for money, cars, clothes and hoes - but for the love of it.

My flatmates are pissed off I've been playing this track for the past couple of days, I've got the sickest head-bop now lol

P.S I'm getting that Letur-Lefr EP
you should too

Jhene Aiko - 2 Seconds

Whilst we're all anticipating the release of her Souled Out album and the upload of her "3:16" single, Jhene decides to let us in with some juicy goods.

Now signed to Def Jam Records, she's been a very busy body, getting booked for shows all over and amidst that, working to get that album out.

With this self-written track she lets us into her emotions via silky voice. The frustrations of a male in her life that's nearly pushed her off the edge.

Taking a wild guess, this is something more for the females.
It's sorta understandable, especially after the WTT (Watch The Throne) Tour, Meek Mill's, MMG and all that "hype hype". Girls have been coming up to me with that "Face Down... Ass up..." talk.

5 months In... somniac

It's exam season. This is the worst part of every year of my higher academic life. *sigh*

The stress & uncertainty that abounds is not measurable on Earth :(.
But I do suppose that studying Biomedical Science it comes with the territory. I just never really thought that this degree would be so broad. We REALLY don't have to touch EVERY base!? =S let's be real. I don't even get to pick & drop modules =[. I'm covering the whole shabang every year.

Just had my 3rd exam today (15/5/12 is still "today" because I haven't slept yet). 2 more to go. 16th, 24th then...
Shingologo-yaga. =D

In other news:
The insomnia has FULLY settled. -_-

I know this for a fact cos I did the research and it says:
"

The symptoms of insomnia depend on the type of sleeping problem that you have. A lack of sleep can affect your mood and cause tiredness and fatigue during the day.
It's thought that up to a third of people in the UK have symptoms of insomnia at some point in the year, which can include:
  • lying awake for a long time at night before falling asleep
  • waking up several times in the middle of the night
  • waking up early in the morning and not being able to get back to sleep
  • feeling tired and not refreshed by sleep
  • not being able to function properly during the day and finding it difficult to concentrate
  • being irritable
"

I realised, I spent most of the academic year awake and active, having fun and what not forgetting that during exams I would be awake, shootin' in the library.

Me & sleep need a catch-up lol.

OH YEH...
I cut my hair.

Most of you Londoners may not have seen, but I had some black bush with a ginger stripe growing on top of my head.
I was in love with it.

I loved the messyness.
I loved the fact I didn't have to comb it and it'd still look "ok"
I loved how I could hide things in it.
I liked how the fancy females put their hands through it.

But as much as I enjoyed having the ginger badger on my scalp, it did come with it's deficits :(
The combing of hair for "no hat" events
Expenditure on hair cream
When it got wet... =|

This wasn't the first time I grew my hair out, but through this one I can now relate to black females and them getting their NATURAL hair wet. It's not the ideal thing to do lol.

Even so, throughout this experience I've looked less and less like Biomedical Scientist and the level of seriousness around me decreased exponentially.

Sitting there in that barber chair wanting a shape-up, I could see in the barber's eyes that the cut would've been best. So we proceeded...

And I came out quite choong ^_^ lol.

Ahhhh... Time for me to get some unrefreshing sleep...

...I sleep at my wake
